Do you ever wonder how many people share the same taste as you in picking or buying cars? Why do some people customize their vehicles, when statistics show that people that customize their cars only get approximately 10% back of what they initially invested in modifications of the car when they sell the car. Some people wants to stand out with the vehicles, while others prefer to blend in as much as possible and avoid attention.

So what are the trends right now for car buyers?
In the few months of 2018, passenger sales has seen a slight decline while overall vehicle sales has seen an increase. Why the contrast? The current consumer trend is to buy trucks and SUVs instead of passenger sedans due to decreasing gas prices and various other factors. The top brands making up the record high gross vehicles sales are Ford, Dodge, Honda, GMC, Toyota.
So here’s the list of the top 5 most popular vehicles currently being sold in Toronto:
5. Toyota Corolla – MRSP $16,000 - 28,000+ units sold
Toyota is coming in strong for 2018. New LED headlights and redesigned upholstery has given the model a push in terms of sales.

4. GMC Sierra – MRSP $31,000 - 31,000+ units sold
This light duty truck when combined with its sibling the Silverado will definitely make the top 3 most popular cars. For now it sits at spot #4.

3. Honda Civic - MRSP $22,000 - 37,000+ units
Consistently placing top 10 cars for the past 2 decades. The Honda Civic is having a great year as well with sales 12% higher thus far in 2018. Not to mention the high performance R Type, which looks absolutely fantastic in person with all those sharp edges.

2. Dodge Ram 1500 - MRSP $27,000 - 59,000+ units
The current generation of the Ram 1500 is a 3 times Canadian Truck King Challenge winner. The engines for the Ram 1500 are – a 5.7-litre HEMI V8, a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 or a 3.0-litre EcoDiesel V6. An all-new version will be at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. Exciting news for Dodge fans!

1. Ford F-150s - MRSP $27,000 - 78,000+ units
Ford is no stranger to the top spot. With Rouge factory just across border in Detroit, it is no wonder why we see so many F150s driven by Torontonians today.

Now, that’s a wrap. Would you buy one of these cars now that you’ve know so many other Canadians are also buying them?
